So, you wanna get Gabby'd?

Betcha wanna know what it means to get Gabby'd, dontcha.  Well, I'll tell ya.   Gettin Gabby'd means to get all your hair chopped off in one swift motion.

I Want My Xtv is sponsoring a unique charity drive.  Every day, a child battling cancer is subject to hair loss and the embarrassment that goes with it.  It's one thing for an adult to go to work wearing a scarf, but for a child, having no hair in those class pictures can be a subject of taunting for years.

Locks of Love is a charity organization that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair to disease.  In order to do this, they need locks of human hair, 10 inches or longer in length.  The processing of making a wig takes up 2 inches of hair so shorter hair is acceptable for wigs made for boys but many girls want long hair.  The longer the hair, the better.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the VideoVixen promised years ago that she would never ever show a picture of herself on the internet.  However, for this worthy cause, a picture is shown to the right - this is a really horrible picture (taken in the bathroom mirror) the day the Vixen Got Gabby'd!

My only vanity all my life has been my hair.  Extremely thick and very long.  Well, I got it completely chopped off and donated my ponytail to Locks of Love.

PS - it's now three years later and my hair has completely grown back.

How you can contribute - There are currently 2 ways.

1)  Chop it off and send your clean, dry, ponytail (bound with a rubber band or something and in a ziplock bag) to:

Locks of Love
1640 S. Congress Ave., Suite 104
Palm Springs, FL 33461

Check the website for more info if you'd like.  For everyone who sends me a picture of themselves holding up their "to be donated" ponytail (unattached to the head like the picture of me), I will buy you two items that you can check out in option 2 and I will customize the items to your liking.  For example, I can design a tshirt with your picture on one side and one of the comics (you'll see that later in the page) on the other.

2)   I've made some merchandise to go with the Gettin Gabby'd theme.  Every item purchased sends a financial donation to Locks of Love.  The specific amounts are in the item descriptions.  Oh, and just for safe measure, I've also designed a lovely "Bad Hair Day" hat.  Check out the stuff here.

The designs are made from some Gabby comics that I have made.  They fall under two categories - I love it and I hate it.  I'll be adding new comics all the time (and probably more store links for more Gettin Gabby choices).  Check out the few I've got done so far.
